See your next meeting and free time in the macOS menu bar

The Wispr Flow menu bar title tells you what's next without opening your calendar — the meeting you're in, the one coming up, or how long you're free. Click it to open the tray menu with your upcoming meetings and past notes.

A meeting starts within an hour

That meeting's details and the time until it starts.

First half of a meeting

The meeting you're in and how long is left.

Second half of a meeting

The next meeting, or the free interval that follows it.

Nothing scheduled soon

A free label such as "Free until 2:00 PM" or "Free after 5:00 PM".

How free-time labels are worded

A gap between two meetings appears as a range, for example "Free from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM". When your next meeting is further out, the title shows "Free until…" with that meeting's start time, and "Free after…" once your day's meetings are done. Free time that runs past midnight includes the day, for example "Free until Tue 10:30 AM".

Overlapping and simultaneous meetings

When more than one meeting covers the same time, the title counts them together instead of picking one — for example "2 meetings • 50m left". Open the tray menu to see each meeting listed separately.

Click the menu bar title to open the menu. Upcoming meeting and Past notes titles are shortened to 40 characters — hover a title to see it in full.

Turn the menu bar display off

  1. Click the Wispr Flow icon in your menu bar.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the menu, just above Quit Wispr Flow.

  3. Toggle Show meetings in menu bar off.

FAQs

Why is a calendar event missing from the menu bar?

The display uses your connected meetings, which does not include every calendar block. Events outside that list are not counted when the title decides between a meeting and free time.

I'm in a meeting but the title shows the next one. Why?

Once you pass the halfway point of a meeting, the title switches to what's coming next — either the following meeting or the free interval after it. Your current meeting is still listed in the tray menu.
