Import your Zoom meetings into Wispr Flow Notetaker

Last updated: November 2, 2026

Available on: Mac, Windows

Zoom import brings the transcripts and AI Companion summaries from your past Zoom cloud recordings into Wispr Flow Notetaker. Sign in to Wispr Flow first.

What you need

  • A Wispr Flow account with Notetaker.

  • A Zoom account on a paid plan with cloud recording turned on. Zoom creates transcripts and AI Companion summaries only for cloud recordings, not local ones.

  • Meetings you hosted: Zoom lists only your own cloud recordings.

Connect Zoom

  1. Open Wispr Flow and go to Settings, then Notetaker.

  2. Select Import next to Import your meeting notes.

  3. Choose Zoom, then Connect Zoom. Review the permissions on Zoom's consent screen in your browser and select Allow.

  4. Return to Wispr Flow. The screen reads Zoom is connected and continues to Choose meetings.

Note: Wispr Flow asks only for permission to list your cloud recordings and read their transcripts and summaries. It never reads your Zoom account in the background and never downloads audio or video.

Import meetings

  1. Review the list on Choose meetings, which shows your cloud recordings from the last 30 days that have a transcript or a summary.

  2. Tick the meetings you want, or use Select all, then select Import.

  3. Close the window or quit Wispr Flow if you want to, the import keeps running. Only one import runs at a time.

Each imported meeting appears in your Notetaker list with its date, title, duration, the Zoom transcript with the speaker names Zoom wrote, and Zoom's AI Companion summary when Zoom created one. Wispr Flow uses Zoom's transcript as is and does not re-transcribe it. Text only: audio and video stay in Zoom. Imported meetings sync to your other devices like any other meeting.

Disconnect Zoom

  1. Go to Settings, then Connectors.

  2. Select Disconnect on the Zoom card.

Wispr Flow asks Zoom to revoke its access and deletes the stored connection. Meetings you already imported stay in Wispr Flow as your own content until you delete them; to delete one, open it in the Notetaker list and choose Delete.

Remove the app from Zoom as well

In the Zoom App Marketplace, open Manage, then Added Apps, find Wispr Flow and select Remove. Wispr Flow then loses access to your Zoom account and nothing more is read. Your imported meetings are not affected.

Fix an import problem

A meeting is grayed out on Choose meetings

The reason appears next to the meeting: you already imported it, or Zoom created neither a transcript nor a summary for that recording.

A meeting is missing from the list

Wispr Flow lists only cloud recordings from the last 30 days that you hosted and that have a transcript or a summary. Local recordings never appear, because Zoom does not create transcripts or AI Companion summaries for them.

You cannot start a new import

Wait for the import in progress to finish, then start the next one.

Wispr Flow asks you to reconnect Zoom

This happens after the connection is removed, either from Settings, then Connectors in Wispr Flow, or from Added Apps in the Zoom App Marketplace. Open the Zoom import and select Reconnect Zoom. Your imported meetings are not affected.
