Available on: Mac, Windows
Skills are reusable prompts you run from the / command menu in Flow's chat surfaces. If your account is part of a team, you can also run Skills teammates shared with your department or your whole company.
Where shared Skills appear
Skills gallery
Open the gallery from the Skills chip. Team accounts get a Shared with team tab listing every Skill shared with your department or company, searchable by author.
Open a Skill to see who it's shared with — Shared with your department or Shared with your company — and who last changed it, for example Edited by Alex Rivera.
The / command menu
Type / in a chat surface. Team Skills appear under a Shared with team section, each showing its last editor and when it was edited.
Who can change a shared Skill
Skill type | What you can do |
Shared with your department | Anyone it's shared with can edit, copy or delete it. |
Shared with your company | Only admins can change it; members can Save a copy. |
Warning: Deleting a team Skill removes it for everyone it was shared with, not just for you. Flow asks you to confirm before deleting.
Saving a copy gives you a private version; edits to it don't affect the shared original.
When two Skills share the same command
Only one Skill runs for a given / command. Flow picks it in this order:
Your own Skill
A Skill shared with your department
A Skill shared with your company
The built-in Skill
Skills that don't run stay in the / menu, greyed out and labelled Your /command runs instead. To run one of them, rename the command on your own Skill or delete your copy.
FAQs
I don't see a "Shared with team" tab
The tab only appears for accounts that belong to a team. Individual accounts see their own Skills and the built-in ones.
