Disable Transforms (Polish) for your organization

Available on: Mac, Windows, iOS. Admins manage the setting in Organization settings at admin.wisprflow.ai.

Transforms are on by default. Turning them off for your organization removes Polish and Transform controls from the desktop app, and dictation is pasted as plain, untransformed text.

How to disable Transforms for your organization

  1. Sign in to admin.wisprflow.ai with an admin account.

  2. Open your organization settings.

  3. Turn off the Transforms toggle ("Enable members to use generative AI to refine their text").

  4. Confirm in the modal, which states that saved settings and content will not be deleted.

Members don't need to restart Wispr Flow; Transform surfaces disappear on their next update. Turn the toggle back on to restore them.

Note: The setting applies to every member, and individual members cannot re-enable Transforms for themselves.

What changes while Transforms are off

  • Polish: Polish controls in the Hub and the Flow Bar, the Polish wand in the status indicator, and the auto-polish picker are hidden, and Polish keyboard shortcuts stop working.

  • Prompts and suggestions: Transform notifications, CTAs, and banners stop appearing, and no Transform suggestions are offered — including the follow-up suggestions that normally appear after a Transform is applied.

The setting applies to the whole account, not just the app's interface. A member who attempts to Polish text or list Transform suggestions sees "Transforms are disabled for your organization." On iOS, Polish shows a generic error message instead of that wording.

What happens to work in progress

A Polish or Transform that is running when you disable the setting is cancelled. No transformed output is pasted, saved to history, or uploaded; the original raw dictation text is kept and pasted instead.

FAQs

Do members lose their Polish keyboard shortcuts permanently?

No. Each member's saved shortcuts are restored when you turn the toggle back on. Shortcuts a member deliberately cleared stay cleared.

Are members' saved Transforms deleted?

No. Saved settings and content are not deleted, and turning the toggle back on restores access.
