Trial End Value Summary in Wispr Flow
Last updated: May 30, 2026
Available on: Mac, Windows
As your free trial wraps up, Wispr Flow shows a personalized summary of how you've used Flow and what to do next. This guide explains what the summary means, when it appears, and how to choose between upgrading and continuing with a usage limit.
What it is
The Trial End Value Summary is a modal and notification that appears near the end of your free trial. It shows a snapshot of how much you've used Wispr Flow and presents two options for continuing: upgrade to a paid plan, or keep using Flow with a weekly word limit.
The summary is personalized based on your usage patterns and whether you're on a personal or team account.
Note: This experience is rolling out as an A/B experiment, so not every trial user will see it.
When it appears
Last day of your 14-day trial: A modal appears on the final day (when 1 day remains) summarizing your usage and prompting you to choose a plan.
Post-trial grace period: If your trial has ended, a notification appears with an upgrade option the next time you dictate.
Note: The summary does not appear if you're already on a paid plan or an active enterprise plan.
How it works in Flow
Overview
Flow personalizes the summary based on how you've used the product during your trial, then presents two paths forward: upgrade to keep unlimited use, or continue with a weekly word cap.
Key behaviors
Solo vs. team: The messaging and options reflect whether you're using Wispr Flow individually or as part of a team account.
Power vs. light user: Flow categorizes your usage based on your weekly word average over at least 21 days. Power users see their actual weekly word average displayed in the modal; light users see messaging suited to lighter use.
Keep unlimited words: Upgrade to a paid plan to continue using Wispr Flow without limits. Post-trial light users may see this labeled as "Get unlimited words."
Continue with word limit: Stay on the Basic plan at 2,000 words per week without upgrading. You can upgrade later at any time.
Notification vs. modal: The post-trial notification only includes the "Keep unlimited words" button — the "Continue with word limit" option is available on the modal, not the notification.
FAQs
Why am I seeing this modal?
You're on the last day of your free trial, or your trial has recently ended. Flow is showing a summary of your usage and your options for continuing.
Not everyone on my team is seeing this — why?
The Trial End Value Summary is rolling out as an experiment and isn't visible to all users yet. If you don't see it, your account isn't part of the current rollout.
What happens if I choose "Continue with word limit"?
You can keep using Flow after your trial ends, but your usage is capped at 2,000 words per week. Upgrade to a paid plan at any time to remove the limit.
What does "power user" or "light user" mean?
Flow categorizes your usage based on your average weekly word count over at least 21 days. This only affects the messaging shown in the summary — not your plan or pricing.
Can I dismiss the modal and come back to it later?
Yes. If you dismiss the modal, a post-trial notification appears the next time you dictate with Flow during the grace period. The notification only offers "Keep unlimited words" — it does not include the "Continue with word limit" option.
