Last updated: September 29, 2026

Available on: Mac, Windows, iOS and Android.

Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, with or without closing your account. Start with the option that matches what you want.

Contact support and ask for a data deletion.

Get a copy of your data

Request an export in the app. We build a single archive and make it available to download while you are signed in; we do not email the archive itself. We email you whenever an export is requested on your account.

  • Timing: most archives are quick, but a large account can take a few hours.

  • Availability: the download stays available for 30 days, then expires and you request a new one.

  • One at a time: cancel the current request to start again, and expect a short wait between requests.

Important: Anyone signed in to your account can request an export. If you receive an export email you did not request, cancel the request and secure your account.

Delete your account and its data

This removes your account along with your dictation history, audio, meeting content, notes, dictionary, preferences and usage history, and revokes connected integrations. We also send deletion instructions to the providers that process data on our behalf.

Warning: Deleting your account cancels an active Wispr-billed subscription immediately, with no refund, not even a prorated one. Contact support before you delete if you want a refund.

Before you start

  • App Store and Google Play billing: deleting your Wispr account does not cancel those subscriptions. Cancel with Apple or Google, or billing continues.

  • Local history: history on your other devices is not removed. Delete the app on each device.

  • Want a copy first: request the export and download it before you delete.

Delete your account

Mac and Windows

  1. Open Settings, then Account.

  2. Select Delete account and read the warning.

  3. Type your exact account email.

  4. Select Confirm.

iPhone

  1. Open Menu, then Account.

  2. Tap Delete account.

  3. Confirm the alert.

Android

Android has no in-app deletion. Send us a request instead:

  1. Open the dashboard drawer, then Report an issue.

  2. Choose Account management.

  3. Describe your request.

  4. Select Send.

This files a support ticket; it does not delete the account on its own.

Note: Some deletions have a waiting period. During that wait, signing back in with a verified account identity cancels the deletion. Once final deletion starts, it cannot be canceled.

Delete your data but keep your account

This option is not self-serve: contact support and ask for a data deletion. It removes your dictation history, audio, meetings, notes, dictionary entries, automations, learned preferences and other usage history held in Wispr's systems up to the time of your request, not activity after that point. Your account, sign-in and subscription stay active.

Warning: This is not reversible. If you want a copy of your data, request the export and download it before asking for the deletion.

Timing and what we keep

We complete data requests within 30 days and confirm in writing once yours is done. Some records stay after a deletion, either because we are required to keep them or because they do not belong to your account alone:

  • Billing and invoice records.

  • A record of your data request, kept as proof that we acted on it.

  • Signed agreements, such as a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement.

  • Organization records, team dictionary contributions and shared support accounts, if you used Flow through an organization.

If you use Flow through work

If your organization provided your Flow account, your organization controls that data. Send your request to your admin or IT team; they contact us and we act on their instruction. Your organization can also turn off self-serve exports, so the option may not appear for you. Deleting a work account can remove your seat and affect your organization's subscription, so it is usually not the right route.
