Play back your recordings from History on iOS

Wispr Flow saves a recording of each dictation so you can play it back from History — useful for telling whether a poor result came from unclear audio or from the transcription itself.
How to play back a recording
Open the Wispr Flow app and go to History.
Swipe left on a History entry to reveal its actions.
Tap Play, between Copy and Retry, to open the playback screen.
Use the controls to listen, pause, seek, or change speed.
The playback screen shows the full transcript and its date.
Play / Pause: Resuming continues from where you left off.
Scrub bar: Drag or tap to jump to that point; VoiceOver users step through in 15-second increments.
Speed toggle: Cycles between 1×, 1.5×, and 2×.
⋯ menu: Copy, Retry, Report, or Delete the entry.
Note: Play appears even for failed or silent transcriptions, so you can hear the raw audio.
FAQs
Why don't I see the Play action on some entries?
Play appears only when a saved audio file exists for that entry. It is hidden while the entry is being retried or while a dictation is in progress.
Will playback work with my silent switch turned on?
Yes. Audio plays through the speaker even when the silent switch is on.
Can I play back an on-device draft saved when Flow couldn't reach the cloud?
Yes. On-device drafts are saved to History like regular dictations and support full playback. If Flow later upgrades the draft to a final transcription, the entry updates automatically and playback reflects the upgraded result.
Limitations and notes
Audio playback in History is available on iOS only.
Only one recording plays at a time — starting a new one stops the current one.
Playback stops if you leave History, or delete, retry, or purge the entry.
