Join a Wispr Flow team for the first time and you get a 14-day team trial of Flow Pro — no credit card needed. Here's which trial you receive and what happens when it ends.
What trial you get when joining a team
First-time team joiners get a 14-day team trial of Flow Pro, whether or not the team has billing set up. It starts automatically when you join. If you've already used a team trial and rejoin a team or join a different one without billing configured, you get 24 hours of Flow Pro instead, so your admin can set up billing.
Note: Team trials show no trial indicator, days-left count, or end date — the Plan screen shows the same seat-based Teams/Enterprise card whether you're trialing or paid. Countdowns appear only for personal Pro/Student trials.
What happens when the trial ends
Team has active billing: Your trial converts automatically to a paid seat with no interruption.
Team billing is canceled, unpaid, or expired: Your admin is emailed a payment-failed notice, a final notice about 6 days later if unresolved, and a warning one day before the trial ends. Members get no in-app warning. If billing stays unresolved past the trial and grace period, you're removed from the team and your account returns to Basic.
Team has no billing set up: A grace period follows expiry, during which admins receive a "team trial extended" grace email; removal happens only after that window lapses. Teams that explicitly disabled the team trial have no grace period. If the last member is removed, the team is disbanded.
Solo users on a personal trial: You still get the standard trial-ending and downgrade-to-Basic notifications.
FAQs
I joined a team earlier and never got a trial. Will I get one now?
The 14-day trial is granted the moment you join and isn't applied retroactively. Contact support if you believe there's an error.
Does joining a team affect my personal subscription?
Team trial eligibility is tracked separately from personal trial eligibility. While you're on a team, the team plan applies. In organizations with multiple departments, an active personal Pro subscription remains untouched until you select a department.
I've joined teams before. Will I get another 14-day trial with a new one?
No — the 14-day team trial is available once per user. Joining another unbilled team gives you 24 hours of Pro; joining a team with active billing adds you as a paid seat directly.
My organization has multiple departments. When does my trial start?
Your 14-day trial begins as soon as you're added to the organization. The department you pick later determines where you land, but doesn't reset or pause the trial clock — days spent deciding count against the trial.
As an admin, how do I keep my team on Pro after the trial?
Set up billing before the 14-day trial expires, or members are removed from the team. If your team already has active billing, no action is needed.
I was removed from my enterprise team. Can I rejoin on my own?
No — ask your admin to re-invite you.
Limitations and notes
The 14-day team trial is granted once per user across all teams — rejoining a team or joining a second team does not grant a new one.
In organizations with multiple departments, the trial clock starts when you're added to the organization, so delaying your department selection consumes trial days.
Teams that have disabled the team trial grant no trial on join, and members keep any personal trial they already had.
On Android, a team or business trial shows only a generic plan label, and enterprise status may not update until your next sign-in.
On a team or enterprise plan — including during a team trial — enterprise policies apply: privacy mode is on by default and may not be customizable, and your org's local-data retention policy acts as a floor on your own setting (Store normally / Delete after 24h / Never store). If the org enforces "Never store," the setting is locked.
Team info is only shown while signed in and is cleared on sign-out.
