Flow Discounts

Last updated: September 3, 2026

Available on: Mac, Windows, iOS, Android (verification submission is limited on mobile — see FAQs)

Students, educators, non-profit members, military members, seniors, and users with accessibility needs may qualify for a discount on Wispr Flow. Here's who qualifies, how to apply, and how promotional offers work.

Who qualifies

Discounts apply to monthly or annual subscriptions.

  • Student: Verified students may qualify for discounted or free Flow Pro. Self-serve claiming isn't generally available yet — request the discount through support.

  • Education (non-student): Educators and educational staff request through the support form; requests are reviewed manually.

  • Non-profit: Registered non-profit organizations may qualify for discounted Flow Pro.

  • Accessibility support: For users with accessibility needs.

  • Military: For active duty and veterans.

  • Senior citizen: Age-based discount.

Note: Team, Business, and Enterprise subscribers are not eligible for the student discount, even with verified student status. For student and education details, see Education Discounts.

How to apply

Apply through the web support page or the desktop app. Only one file can be attached per submission — combine multiple documents into a single PDF or image first. Support reviews your verification and emails you the outcome, typically within a few business days.

Web support page (use for PDFs or non-image files)

  1. Go to wisprflow.ai/support and click Get Support.

  2. Set Request Type to Billing to reveal the Discount Request category and attachment field.

  3. Fill out all required fields and select your Discount Request category.

  4. Attach your verification: student ID, non-profit details, accessibility documentation, military ID, or age confirmation.

  5. Submit your request. An email confirms it was received.

Desktop app — Mac and Windows (use for image verification)

  1. Click the Help button in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar, then Talk to support under Get in touch.

  2. Confirm the Report an issue tab is selected (the default).

  3. Set Request Type to Billing to reveal the discount category dropdown.

  4. Select your Discount Request category, then fill in the required message field.

  5. Attach your verification image — images only, 1 file, 10 MB max. Every category except "No discount" requires an attachment.

  6. Submit with the Send button or Cmd+Enter (Mac) / Ctrl+Enter (Windows). An email confirms it was received.

Tip: If submission fails, your message text is copied to your clipboard so you can retry without retyping it.

Promotional offers

Wispr Flow occasionally partners with third parties such as media outlets or affiliates on promotional deals, like an extended free trial unlocked through a special link or code.

What to expect

  • Onboarding: A "Promotional Offer" badge appears with the heading "You've unlocked Flow Pro!". Your extended trial begins when you upgrade.

  • Plans and Billing: The Pro plan column shows an attribution badge (for example, "Gift from TechCrunch").

  • Promotional wording: Each campaign has its own message. Without a custom message, onboarding shows "You have a promotional offer" and the trial card shows no promo message.

  • Referral credit: App Store (Apple) and enterprise subscribers can share referral links but cannot receive referral credit; only Stripe subscribers get credits applied automatically.

  • Trial length: 14 days standard, 30 days if referred, and 90 days for verified students, with a 3-day grace period after a trial ends. A granted promo length overrides all of these.

Entering a promo code

On desktop, enter a code in the Referral modal under the Apply referral tab. This tab disappears once a code or referrer is applied, so users with an active promo cannot enter another code. You can also enter a code from Plans and Billing:

  1. Open Wispr Flow and go to Settings → Plans and Billing.

  2. Click Add promo code to expand the input field.

  3. Type your code exactly as given and click Apply (or press Enter). A checkmark confirms acceptance, and your extra trial days appear at checkout.

  4. Clear a code with X to try a different one.

If the code can't be applied, the field shows one of these messages:

  • Code not valid: The code was mistyped, is expired, hasn't started yet, or has reached its redemption limit. Re-check it, then contact support if it still fails.

  • You already have a promo applied: Your account has an active promo code. Contact support to change it.

Note: The promo code field appears only without a paid subscription — on the Free plan or an unconverted trial. Paid subscribers don't see it; App Store subscribers manage their subscription through Apple and see a "Manage via Apple" message in Plans and Billing.

FAQs

What verification do I need?

Depending on your category: a student ID, non-profit registration details, documentation of accessibility needs, military ID, or age confirmation.

Can I apply for a discount on iOS or Android?

Use the web support page or the desktop app to attach verification.

  • iOS: You can select a billing or discount request type, but the app doesn't support file attachments.

  • Android: The in-app support form has no discount category and no promo code field, and subscriptions can't be purchased in-app.

Can I apply multiple promotional codes?

No — one code can be active at a time. A second code will fail, and self-referral (using your own email or code) is blocked. Contact support to change your code.

I got a notification saying a teammate signed up — what does that mean?

Someone with your email domain joined Wispr Flow. A desktop in-app notification with a Create a team button appears shortly after your next dictation. The wording and any trial offer depend on your plan (Free, Pro with trial available, or paying Pro).

I see "Purchase Found, Sync Needed" on iOS — what do I do?

Check your internet connection and restore the purchase again. If it still fails, contact support. Other iOS restore messages:

  • No Active Subscription Found: No active subscription is linked to your Apple ID.

  • Subscription Linked to Another Account: Sign in with the Wispr Flow account that originally purchased the subscription, or contact support.

  • Entitlement Found: Success — tap OK to close the paywall. The message names the restored subscription tier.

  • Restore Failed: Generic restore failure — contact support.

Still need help?

Reach out to support if:

  • Your discount request was denied and you'd like to appeal or clarify your eligibility.

  • A valid promo code won't apply, or you need to swap an active code.

  • You can't attach your verification document through any channel above.

Include your account email, platform (Mac, Windows, iOS, or Android), the discount category you're applying for, and a screenshot of any error. Most discount questions are resolved in one reply.
