Manage billing, invoices and cancellation
Last updated: October 16, 2026
Available on: Mac, Windows and the web admin portal for Wispr-billed subscriptions; Apple or Google subscription settings for store purchases. Mobile controls depend on the billing provider.
Where you download invoices, update payment details or stop renewal depends on who bills you. Sign in with the account and provider that originally bought the subscription.
Open the right billing page
On Mac or Windows, open Settings → Plans and Billing. For store-billed subscriptions, desktop Flow replaces the manage button with You can manage subscription via Apple — even for Google Play purchases. Use the store that actually bills you.
Purchase | Where to manage it |
Individual Pro (desktop/web) | Manage subscription opens Stripe's billing portal. |
Team, Growth or Enterprise | Manage billing opens the admin portal's Billing page. |
Apple App Store | iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Wispr Flow. |
Google Play | Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Wispr Flow. |
Promotional or other mobile subscription | Contact support to change or end it. |
Only admins can view or change team billing; members must ask their admin for invoices or changes. On Billing, select Manage Subscription to open the team's Stripe portal, which supports cancellation, payment methods and invoices, but not plan changes.
An unbilled team shows Add billing info instead. A Free plan or an individual trial without a subscription has no management button; a subscribed individual trial remains manageable.
iOS billing controls
For App Store purchases, Cancel or Resubscribe opens Apple's subscription sheet; select Cancel Subscription there.
For Stripe purchases, Go to the desktop app to manage plan is informational — open desktop Flow yourself.
Android billing controls, when available
For a Play-billed plan, Cancel plan opens Google Play; afterwards it becomes Resubscribe on Google Play. Cancel in Google's subscription settings: select Wispr Flow, then Cancel subscription. If Flow shows Couldn't open Google Play. Try again., use the Play Store path in the table.
If a live Play subscription runs alongside a desktop or organization plan, Manage your Google Play subscription appears beneath the other plan's card so you can cancel the separate Play charge.
Other purchases show guidance you cannot tap, pointing to the desktop app, the App Store on your iPhone or iPad, or the device you purchased on. Promotional grants show no management action.
Download invoices or receipts
Open the billing portal for your purchase from the table above.
Find Invoice History and select an invoice to download its PDF. If a download fails, refresh the portal or try another browser.
For Apple purchases, search your email for Apple's receipt or sign in to reportaproblem.apple.com with the purchasing Apple ID.
Flow's mobile apps have no invoice viewer. Personal Pro invoices stay in Manage subscription, separate from team invoices. The team's Billing page has no invoices until the team has its own paid subscription; some organizations are billed outside Stripe and have no Stripe invoices.
Important: For an unexpected payment email, check the date and amount against your invoice history before opening any links in it. Contact support if the charge does not match.
Change company details or payment method
In the portal's billing-information section, update your name, address and billing email; send a company name, address, billing email or phone to support if you cannot enter them yourself. For organizations, the invoice name is the organization name, and a billing-contact email, when set, receives invoices and receipts instead of the admin's account email.
Add the new payment method in the portal.
Set it as default.
Remove the old card.
Important: Enter a VAT, GST or ABN number in the tax-ID field at checkout, or contact support afterwards and we will add or update it on your active subscription. Billing-detail and tax-ID changes apply to future invoices, not invoices already issued.
Checkout sets currency from your region rather than a manual choice, defaulting to USD if the region cannot be determined. Sales-led Enterprise subscriptions use USD.
Resolve a past-due payment
Individual subscription on Mac or Windows
The Payment past due banner appears only for users who are not part of a team.
Important: Payment Summary defaults to Monthly. Review seats, subtotal and Billed today; checkout charges immediately when no trial remains.
Select Update payment in Plans and Billing to open Payment Summary.
Choose Monthly or Annual billing.
Select Continue to Payment and complete payment in Stripe.
Select Finished paying? Click to refresh if Payment Summary stays open afterwards.
When Flow recognizes the payment, the dialog closes and a success message appears. If the plan is unchanged, use the refresh steps below.
Team subscription
Ask the billing admin to complete these steps.
Select Update Payment on the admin portal's Billing page to open Stripe in a new tab.
Update the card in Stripe, then check the team's Billing page.
Contact support if payment remains past due. A failed renewal does not immediately end access, but the paid-through date stays unchanged during retries, and continued failure can cancel the subscription and return members to Free.
When the final notice arrives
If payment is still outstanding, your billing contact receives one final email warning that the team may lose access.
Card-billed teams: 6 days after the payment fails.
Enterprise teams billed by invoice: once your payment terms (Net 30, 45 or 55) have passed the invoice due date.
Each team receives this email at most once; seat updates or new invoices do not reset the schedule.
Refresh or reopen Flow before buying another subscription.
Cancel renewal or resubscribe
Cancellation stops the next renewal, including for an individual Pro subscription still in trial. There is no separate desktop or web auto-renew switch.
Warning: Deleting your Flow account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription, and neither does signing out. Cancel separately with Apple or Google or billing continues.
Open your billing provider from the table above.
Complete cancellation with that provider; use support for a promotional or other mobile subscription.
Confirm the provider shows the cancellation and an end date. Flow then shows the end date on your plan card: Cancels {date} on Mac and Windows (Student shows Free · cancels {date}), Plan ends in N days on iOS, and Expires on <date> or Ends on <date> on Android.
Paid access, including store purchases, continues through the displayed billing-period end, then returns to Free if no other paid access remains. Cancellation does not delete your account or data. There is no automatic prorated refund — contact support about refund requests; Apple manages App Store refunds.
To reactivate before the end date, use the provider's Resubscribe action when offered; after expiry, subscribe again.
Important: Switching or upgrading a Stripe plan clears its scheduled cancellation and renewal continues. Upgrades apply immediately; downgrades take effect at the current billing cycle's end.
If billing status has not updated
A pending cancellation appears in Plans and Billing on any signed-in device, and store cancellations also update an open, signed-in desktop app automatically. On Android, return to Flow after changing Google Play billing; updates can take a few seconds and force-quitting is not required.
Select the desktop Plans and Billing header control with the tooltip Click to refresh.
Wait 10 seconds between manual refresh attempts if Flow still shows Renews.
Quit and reopen Flow if the status remains unchanged.
Check the cancellation date against your provider's confirmation; a stale label does not undo a completed cancellation. Manual refresh can also leave the paid plan displayed instead of applying a change to Free, and paused or incomplete payments retain the previous plan. Desktop Flow returns to Free when cancellation, nonpayment or an expired incomplete purchase ends access.
Refresh can fail because you are signed out, your sign-in could not refresh or subscription details could not load. For a sign-in error, try again or sign out and back in.
Still need help?
On Mac or Windows, open Help → Talk to support and select Billing if:
The portal will not open or an invoice is missing.
You cannot reach your team admin, or you were charged after cancelling.
Your active Stripe-billed Pro plan shows Contact support about your subscription instead of a price, or a team shows Failed to find your subscription. Please contact support.
That price message covers custom or legacy prices and excludes trials and store subscriptions; the renewal or cancellation date still appears. Portal or checkout failures show a billing error.
Include your account email, billing provider, invoice number or date, platform, the exact error and what you tried in the message; there are no separate fields for these, and your signed-in email and platform are included automatically. You can attach one file up to 10 MB. For a billing issue rather than a discount request, choose No discount under Discount Request; other choices require an attachment verifying discount eligibility.
The Plans and Billing footer's Contact us link opens talk to sales, not a support ticket.
