Flow plans and what's included
Last updated: June 3, 2026
Available on: Mac, Windows, iOS, Android
Trying to decide between Basic, Pro, and Enterprise? This guide compares what each plan includes, who it's built for, and how to switch — so you can pick the right fit in under a minute.
What it is
Flow offers three plans — Basic (Free), Pro, and Enterprise — that determine how much you can dictate, which features you can access, and whether you can manage a team. Every plan uses the same voice-to-text engine, so transcription accuracy is identical across tiers. Higher tiers unlock unlimited usage, Command Mode, and team or enterprise controls.

How it works in Flow
Overview
The Plans & Billing page shows all three plans in a comparison table and highlights your current plan. Team usage is offered as Pro with multi-seat billing, not as a separate tier.
Plans at a glance
Basic (Free): Core voice-to-text dictation with a weekly word limit that resets every Sunday at 12am PT. The sidebar shows how many words you have left. Best for trying Flow and light usage.
Pro: Unlimited words across all platforms, prioritized support, Command Mode for editing, early access to new features, team collaboration, and support for 100+ languages. Built for people who dictate frequently.
Team (Pro with multi-seat billing): Everything in Pro, plus team management, centralized billing, and admin controls. Built for organizations with multiple users.
Enterprise: Everything in Pro, plus dedicated support, advanced admin and security controls, usage dashboards, and IT Admin seats. Admins and Members on Enterprise plans receive full Pro access.
Key behaviors
Plan changes: Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
Current plan indicator: The comparison table on Plans & Billing labels your active plan with "Current plan."
Renewal and cancellation date: The Plans & Billing card shows "Renews {date}" for active Pro subscriptions, or "Cancels {date}" if you've scheduled a cancellation — the last day your Pro access will be active.
Trial banner: While on a trial, a banner shows days remaining with options to add billing info or upgrade. It appears above the comparison table on Plans & Billing, and on the Team page for admins whose team doesn't yet have billing info.
Trial countdown in sidebar: If your team is currently in a trial period, the sidebar shows a "Trial ends in X days" countdown based on your team's trial end date.
Trial end summary: On the last day of your trial and during the post-trial grace period, Flow shows a personalized recap of how you used Pro features, with options to continue with unlimited access or return to the Basic limit.
Weekly word cap (no-trial onboarding): Some new users are onboarded without a standard Pro trial and instead receive a 2,000 word/week soft cap. The hub shows your words remaining for the week. When you first reach the cap, you may receive a one-week bonus that raises it to 10,000 words — tap "Keep dictating" to activate. After that week, the cap returns to 2,000 words/week.
Upgrade routing for team members: If you're a member of a team, clicking "Upgrade to Pro" opens the team billing screen so your payment covers all seats. Solo users and team admins go to the standard personal checkout instead.
Upgrade welcome modal: When a team admin upgrades your seat to Pro or Enterprise on desktop, a celebration modal appears with your plan badge and launches a guided tour of Team Insights, Team Dictionary, and Team Snippets.
Insights page for Pro admins: Pro admins see a locked preview of the Insights page with blurred mock data and an "Upgrade to Enterprise" prompt. The Words Dictated card remains fully accessible; filters and Export are disabled until you upgrade.
Enterprise IT Admin seats: IT Admin seats don't include desktop app access and are never counted toward paid seats. Signing in shows a blocking screen with two options: sign out, or open the Admin Portal to change your seat type.
Seat breakdown: The Plans & Billing card shows mixed-state seats as "70 active · 6 on trial." The Admin Portal Team page shows "{paid} of {total} billed seats in use" with an expandable breakdown across Paid, Trialing, Invited, and IT Admin.
Warning: If you're already on a paid Pro plan and join a team, Flow shows a warning that you're currently paying for your own subscription. Review your billing before confirming so you aren't charged twice.
Note: Subscription purchases differ by platform. iOS purchases are handled through the App Store by Apple. Android does not support in-app subscription management — manage your subscription at app.wisprflow.ai.
Best practices
Start with Basic to confirm Flow fits your workflow before upgrading.
Upgrade to Pro if you regularly hit the weekly word limit or need Command Mode.
Choose Team (multi-seat Pro) if you need to manage licenses for multiple people in your organization.
Choose Enterprise if you need dedicated support, advanced admin and security controls, usage dashboards, or IT Admin seats.
FAQs
Can I try Pro before committing?
Yes. Flow offers a free Pro trial so you can test every feature before subscribing. A banner at the top of Plans & Billing shows days remaining and lets you add billing info or upgrade at any time. You can also unlock a 2-week Pro trial by creating a team when prompted after a teammate from your email domain signs up.
Some new users are onboarded without a standard trial and instead start with a 2,000 word/week cap. If this applies to you, you can still upgrade to Pro at any time from Plans & Billing.
What's the difference between the personal Pro trial screen and the Flow Pro Teams trial screen?
When you start a trial during onboarding, Flow shows a celebration screen matched to your setup. Solo users see the standard Flow Pro screen. If you created a team during onboarding, you see the Flow Pro Teams screen instead — it confirms your 2-week team trial and highlights team-specific perks like individual trials for teammates, team insights, and shared context. Users who aren't eligible for a new trial don't see either screen.
I'm a team member — what happens when I click "Upgrade to Pro"?
You're routed to the team billing screen, which sets up a subscription covering all seats on your team. This prevents you from buying a personal plan that wouldn't apply to your teammates. Solo users go to the standard personal Pro checkout instead.
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
Your data is preserved. Saved Dictionary and Snippets entries remain available, and Pro-only features reactivate if you upgrade again.
Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?
Yes. Go to Settings → Account → Manage Subscription to switch billing cycles. Annual billing offers a discount.
Do all plans work on every platform?
Yes. Plans are available on Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android, and your subscription syncs across devices. Purchases are managed through Apple on iOS and through the web on Android.
I canceled my Pro subscription — why does the billing card still show "Renews"?
After canceling, the Plans & Billing card updates to show "Cancels {date}" — the last day your Pro access is active. If you canceled recently and still see "Renews," the card will update automatically — no action needed.
I'm a Pro admin — why is most of the Insights page blurred?
Team-wide Insights — including active-user trends, desktop app usage, and ROI — are available on Enterprise plans only. As a Pro admin, you can still see your team's Words Dictated card. Upgrade to Enterprise to unlock the full Insights experience, including filters and data export.
I'm an Enterprise IT Admin — why can't I use Wispr Flow?
IT Admin seats don't include desktop app access. To dictate with Flow, change your seat type from IT Admin to Admin or Member in the Admin Portal. The app unlocks automatically once the change is made, and your seat will then count toward paid seats.
How does seat billing work for trialing, invited, and IT Admin members?
Members in a 2-week trial aren't billed during the trial, but convert to a paid seat when the trial ends. Invited members count toward paid seats once they accept the invite. IT Admin seats are always free and are counted separately from billable seats. You can see a full breakdown above the member list on the Team page in Settings, or by expanding "Show breakdown" on the Team page in the Admin Portal.
I received a team invite — how do I respond?
An "Accept invite" button appears in the sidebar when you have a pending team invite. Click it to join the team. Once accepted, a welcome notification appears on desktop highlighting the Teams features now available to you, and confirms your 2-week Teams trial if you're new to Flow. The notification appears about 15 seconds after your next dictation to avoid interrupting active use.
I got a notification that a teammate signed up — what should I do?
When someone from your email domain joins Flow, you'll see an in-app notification inviting you to create a team with them. Accepting creates a team and unlocks team features. Depending on your account, this may also start a 2-week Pro trial.
During onboarding, I saw a screen listing coworkers already using Flow — what is that?
That's the Team Consolidation screen. It appears when people on your email domain are already using Flow but no team has been created yet. Select coworkers to bring into a new team, add extra invite emails, and create the team — or choose "Skip for now" to continue without creating a team.
I hit my weekly word limit and got a notification about a bonus — what is that?
Some new users receive a one-time bonus week when they first reach the 2,000-word weekly cap. The notification offers 8,000 additional words for that week, raising your cap to 10,000. Tap "Keep dictating" to activate the bonus. After the bonus week ends, your cap returns to 2,000 words/week. Not all accounts receive this bonus offer.
Limitations and notes
The Basic plan has a weekly word limit that resets every Sunday at 12am PT: 2,000 words per week on desktop (5,000 hard cap) and 1,000 words per week on iOS (1,500 hard cap). On iOS, a warning card appears at the top of the statistics carousel as you approach the limit; at the hard cap, Flow slows down until the next reset.
Some new users are onboarded without a standard Pro trial and instead receive a 2,000 word/week soft cap. If a one-week bonus is available, the cap rises to 10,000 words for that week only.
Team and Enterprise admin controls are managed through the web dashboard at app.wisprflow.ai.
Team Leaderboards are available on Enterprise plans only. An org admin can hide the leaderboard in enterprise settings.
Full Insights (Overview and Impact tabs, including active-user trends, desktop app usage, ROI, filters, and export) are available on Enterprise plans only. Pro admins can access the Words Dictated card but see a locked preview of all other Insights content.
The upgrade welcome modal, team invite welcome notification, new teammate notification, trial celebration screens, team consolidation screen, and trial end summary appear on desktop (Mac and Windows) only. They're not shown on iOS or Android.
Trial celebration screens are only shown to users who are eligible for a new trial. Users on team billing (including users re-joining a team or existing enterprise members) see the Flow Pro Teams trial screen or are routed directly to team onboarding instead.
The Team Consolidation screen during onboarding is only available to eligible accounts.
The trial end summary is rolling out gradually, so not all eligible users will see it on the last day of their trial or during the grace period.
Android does not support in-app subscription management — manage your subscription on the web. iOS purchases are handled through the App Store by Apple.
The "Cancels {date}" label on the Plans & Billing card applies to individual Pro subscriptions only. Team and Enterprise plan cards are not affected.
Team members invited during onboarding are added with the Member role, not Admin.
The seat breakdown shown above the member list on the Team page in Settings only includes non-zero categories — for example, if no members are invited, "invited" won't appear in the count.
