Login Issues with Wispr Flow
Last updated: September 20, 2026
Available on: Mac, Windows, iOS and Android.
If Flow rejects your password, stalls in the browser or signs you out unexpectedly, start with your original account and sign-in method.
Check your account
Platform | Sign-in options |
Mac / Windows | Sign in via browser opens provider selection online; no in-app email entry is needed. |
iOS | Google/Apple appear first; More options reveals Microsoft, SSO and email. |
Android | Google, Apple, Microsoft, SSO and email/password are separate options. |
Choose your original sign-in method.
Enter your exact account email, including dots or an existing alias.
Different dots/aliases mean different addresses; iOS ignores surrounding spaces. Unrecognized addresses can open signup. Submitting an existing address at signup creates no duplicate: web returns to password entry; Android asks you to sign in.
Use the provider Flow names: iOS Welcome back offers only its button, not password creation; Android Existing account requires Back to login to select it.
Flow cannot switch an existing account's login method or link multiple emails through the login screen.
If signed in, stop; otherwise, match your symptom below.
Email and password recovery
For Incorrect email or password, check both fields.
Select Forgot password for an email/password account.
Request a reset email.
Follow its link to reset your password.
Return to Flow and sign in.
Password requirements
Surface | Length |
Android signup | 6–72 characters. |
iOS signup | At least 6; no maximum. |
Web onboarding signup/sign-in | At least 8. |
Enterprise web signup | At least 6. |
Android errors appear below Password/Confirm password: mismatches or matching your full name disable Create account. iOS errors appear below Create a secure password; no confirmation/name comparison applies. Blank iOS fields show Please fill in all fields.
Only the hosted reset page uses New Password/Confirm Password; mismatches show Passwords do not match.
New + aliases are rejected at email signup on every platform; existing alias accounts can sign in.
Missing email or rejected link
Check spam/junk and the address entered; Android verification guidance also names Trash. Request another email from sign-in or verification.
Reset confirmations: iOS/enterprise web, We sent you a password reset email; Android, We sent a password reset link to: <email>; web onboarding, Password reset email sent to <email>. Confirmation does not prove delivery; sending can fail without an error.
Android resends show Verification email sent. Resend cannot recover already-verified accounts or unknown addresses.
Reset links can fail as invalid, expired or access denied even after opening. Request a fresh link and open it promptly. Use the newest email. For repeated failures, see password reset help.
Unverified email or interrupted verification
Unverified accounts go to verification, not password login: web/iOS offer resend; Android returns to signup/verification. Both mobile apps automatically sign in after email confirmation.
Android checks for up to 10 minutes, stopping when you leave—not continuing in the background. Returning starts another window if the signup session remains available.
Verification timeout: check email and retry.
Repeated connection errors: checks stop early; check your connection and retry.
Session expired. Please sign up again. Closing Android mid-signup can require restarting signup; verified accounts return to login.
Sign in failed after verification. Return to sign-in; verification succeeded but automatic sign-in failed.
Verification challenges
Signup, reset and resend may require a captcha. Check your connection or use another supported sign-in method. Retry temporary unavailability later; redo rejected challenges.
iOS
Create account, Send reset email and Resend verification email stay disabled until completion. Switching actions requires a fresh challenge. Connection, display, startup or verification failures leave an inline error; cancellation leaves no message and the button disabled.
If Verification service unavailable. Please try again later. replaces the email form, select Go Back, its only button. It advises another method; use your account's method or retry email later.
Web
Captcha does not disable buttons: signup can show Please complete the captcha.; reset/resend, We couldn’t verify you’re human. Please try again. Complete or retry the challenge.
Reset/resend challenges appear only when needed. Resend is disabled while sending or during its 30-second cooldown.
For continuing failures, see captcha troubleshooting.
Browser sign-in
Keep Flow open while completing browser sign-in.
Select Open Wispr Flow on the success page; the app does not open automatically.
If nothing opens, the page offers download help; invalid links require restarting sign-in. For successful browser sign-in without an app return, follow Flow doesn't start after clicking Open Wispr Flow.
Mac and Windows
Flow stops waiting after 5 minutes; restart with Sign in via browser. Emailed links can reconnect to the original attempt for 15 minutes, including after an app restart.
If no browser opens:
Open your default browser manually.
Confirm a default browser is configured.
Select Sign in via browser again.
Complete sign-in if it opens; otherwise, contact support.
Android
A browser-capable app suffices. No web browser found. Try another way. means no app can open the link, including when a browser is disabled. Sign-in launch failures instead show Couldn't open the sign-in page. Please try again.
During Waiting for <provider>, finish browser sign-in and return; only Cancel is available. Returning unfinished ends the attempt; extra taps during an active attempt do nothing.
After app closure and attempt restoration, Finish signing in offers Try again only for Google/Apple/Microsoft, starting a new attempt—not reopening the old link.
Final completion fails after 20 seconds with Sign-in didn't finish. Please try again.; retry sign-in.
Android SSO
SSO waiting/resume has no Try again.
Select Cancel to return to the SSO email screen.
Select Continue to resubmit your retained email.
Complete browser sign-in, then return to Flow.
For another failure, use the organization guidance below.
Connection and temporary errors
iOS Connection problem: check Wi-Fi or cellular access. Try another permitted network and check whether a VPN or firewall blocks the connection.
iOS Couldn't sign you in / Something went wrong: dismiss, wait and retry; contact support for repeated failures. Google/Apple/Microsoft/SSO failures show generic Error alerts without identifying the cause.
Desktop Failed to sign in: offers Contact us. For temporary unavailability, wait and retry. If it persists, check service status or contact support.
For too many attempts, stop retrying and wait: sign-in, up to a minute; reset/resend, 30 minutes; repeated signup for one address, an hour. Rejected retries do not extend the wait. Android limits email checks, sign-ins and resets; its reset message says “a few minutes,” but waits can be longer.
Unexpectedly signed out? Sign in with your usual method. Desktop shows You have been signed out; Android, Your session has expired. Please sign in again. If it repeats, check your internet connection and device clock.
Organization-managed access
SSO Sign In Required: choose SSO and enter your work email; its domain selects your organization. Email/password may redirect automatically; your identity provider's Flow tile also works. Enforcement requires active organization billing and can stop when billing lapses. iOS Continue requires a valid work email.
If SSO fails or is not offered, ask IT to confirm configuration and your assignment to the Wispr Flow SSO app. Missing membership, an unassociated domain or missing/inactive SSO configuration requires administrator help.
Account Managed by Your Organization, or web messaging that your organization manages Flow accounts, means directory-managed access: existing users sign in; new users request IT access, then use SSO.
Mac/Windows IT Admin seat: administration-only seats cannot dictate; select Go to Admin Portal to change to Admin.
Mac/Windows required membership: select Request to join; Flow stays blocked until added. Confirmation promises an email when added; then select Refresh. Both desktop blocks offer Sign out; only optional membership prompts offer Not now. Contact your admin for declined requests; retry or contact support for failed resends.
If an invitation reports a failure after login, sign in normally and ask the admin to resend the invitation. Acceptance requires the invited address; missing invitations/users prevent acceptance. Desktop accept/decline failures direct you to support.
Your network isn't allowed
Mac/Windows and enterprise web offer Retry/Sign Out; signing out does not restore access. Restrictions include an undetermined network address and can sign you out on Mac, Windows and iOS.
Connect to an administrator-approved network.
Select Retry where offered, then complete sign-in again.
Desktop Retry opens browser sign-in; enterprise-web Retry returns to login. If still blocked, contact your administrator.
If login still fails
Warning: Copy needed local transcripts before signing out. Sign-out removes local data, including Android transcripts and recent desktop history. After confirming Android sign-out, you cannot cancel or export; sign-out proceeds even if deletion fails. Desktop sends pending meeting data before clearing storage. See account sign-out precautions.
For desktop subscription-sync sign-in errors, retry or sign in as requested; if retry fails, sign out and back in.
Update Flow through its desktop update menu or the App Store/Google Play.
Quit Flow fully.
Reopen Flow and retry sign-in.
Restart your device if sign-in still fails, then retry.
Warning: Reinstallation is a last step; it does not delete the account or cloud-synced content, but local-only data can be lost. See reset and reinstall precautions.
Still stuck?
Contact support if recovery leaves you signed out or browser sign-in cannot reopen Flow. Include your account email, platform, device, app version, sign-in method, exact error and steps tried. If a login loop involves old and new company email domains, contact support with both addresses.
