Manage your Flow account

Last updated: September 21, 2026

Available on: Mac, Windows, iOS and Android.

Edit your profile, sign out, reset your password, change your plan or delete your account from Account settings. Switching accounts requires signing out first; there is no switch-accounts control.

Open your account settings

Platform

Account path

Editable fields

Mac and Windows

Account icon → Manage account, or Settings → Account.

Names and profile picture; email is read-only.

iOS

Menu → Account → your profile.

Names; email is read-only.

Android

Dashboard drawer → Account, then the profile card.

Names; first name is required.

  1. Edit your first and last name.

  2. Select Save.

Desktop saves only when both names are filled in and something changed. Names over 30 characters or password-like names block saving with “This looks like a password, not a name”. Profile pictures must be a supported image up to 5 MB; iOS and Android have no picture upload.

To change your email or sign-in method, read Email & Sign-In Method Change Requests.

Sign out or switch accounts

Warning: Signing out removes local transcripts. On desktop it also clears your local dictionary, notes and images, folders, todos, shared notes, calendar events, meetings, notifications, dictation and chat histories, corrections, Granola imports and credentials, statistics and backups; voice profile, insights, streaks and nudges reset. App preferences such as shortcuts and language remain. Save meeting summary edits first — unsaved edits are discarded.

Switching accounts also clears the previous account's local team or enterprise data. Dictionary entries, statistics and history do not transfer to a new account.

Your account is tied to the sign-in method you originally used: Apple, Google, Microsoft, SSO, or email and password.

  1. Open Account → Sign out.

  2. Confirm the warning. On iOS this stops recording and signs out only this device; Android deletes transcripts first and keeps going if deletion fails.

  3. Choose the other account's original sign-in method — on desktop, Sign in via browser; on iOS, More Options reveals Microsoft, SSO and email.

  4. Complete sign-in; on Android, tap Open Wispr Flow on the browser confirmation page.

If sign-in does not finish

Desktop: An attempt expires after five minutes; an emailed link can finish that same attempt within 15 minutes, even after restarting Flow.

iOS: Provider or SSO failures show a generic error. If the captcha is unavailable, the email form is replaced by a message suggesting another sign-in method.

Android: Cancel exits waiting. If Flow closed mid-sign-in, choose Finish signing in → Try again for Google, Apple or Microsoft; for SSO or email, select Cancel and start again. Start again after a browser-launch failure or if sign-in doesn't complete within 20 seconds, and don't reuse the old link. If your email belongs to another provider, sign in with that provider. The browser confirmation page offers a different provider account if the email is wrong, and download help if returning to Flow fails.

Flow loads the signed-in account's team settings. Your organization's restrictions can disable features or lock privacy preferences, and switching devices does not remove them; desktop applies whichever local-data-retention policy is stricter, yours or your organization's.

You can use one account across personal and work devices. Use separate accounts when your work requires data isolation or separate dictionaries, and use your work email if your employer supplies an Enterprise account.

Note: When desktop asks you to sign in again on its own, your local data and cloud-sync privacy setting are preserved.

Reset your password

Only email and password accounts can be reset. Manage Apple, Google or Microsoft passwords with that provider; your organization manages SSO access. Start from the email sign-in screen: on desktop, sign out and select Sign in via browser; on iOS, More Options → Continue with Email; on Android, Continue with Email.

  1. Enter your email address. Android prefills verified email accounts only.

  2. Select Forgot password when it appears for an existing email account.

  3. Complete the captcha on iOS and web; on iOS, sending stays disabled until it succeeds.

  4. Select Send reset email (iOS) or Send reset link (Android); the web page sends without another button.

  5. Follow the emailed link to set your password on the web page. Request a new link if it is invalid, expired or already used.

The confirmation message proves neither that the account exists nor that the email was delivered. Repeated requests can be limited, and weak passwords can be rejected on any platform.

A password reset signs out your sessions on all devices, so sign back in afterward. For missing or failing reset links, see Reset your Wispr Flow password.

Manage your plan

Desktop: Open Settings → Plans and Billing. To update what's shown, select the circular-arrow Click to refresh button, waiting 10 seconds between refreshes, or quit and reopen Flow. If a paid plan cannot be confirmed, your access stays unchanged. App Store subscriptions cannot be switched here.

Android: Your plan refreshes on its own when you reopen Flow and after you return from Google Play, so no restart is needed; resubscribing or changing your plan in Google Play appears within about a minute. After cancelling, your Account page shows Expires on with a Resubscribe option, and Flow returns to the free experience when the subscription ends.

On desktop and Android, your plan details name the store that bills a mobile subscription — Google Play, the App Store, or a promotional subscription — and point you to where to manage it, even when you bought it on another device. A plan set to end at the end of the current billing period shows as canceling until that date.

iOS subscription controls

The Plans screen has no separate Restore Purchases button.

  1. Open Account → Manage plan.

  2. Select Cancel or Resubscribe, depending on your subscription status, to open Apple's subscription sheet for App Store purchases.

If you subscribed on web or desktop through Stripe, you'll see Go to the desktop app to manage plan; manage that subscription on desktop.

See billing and cancellation or an Apple subscription that isn't showing.

Delete your account

Warning: Completed deletion cannot be undone. It removes local and cloud account data — dictionary, memory, Flow Notes, preferences, transcripts, audio and usage history — and revokes integrations. Personal marketing, analytics and support records are removed; shared organization support accounts remain. Local history on other devices is not removed, so delete the app on each device.

Personal Stripe subscriptions cancel automatically and immediately with no prorated refund; refunds are only available through support, so contact support about a paid subscription before deleting an old account. Deleting your Flow account does not cancel App Store or Google Play subscriptions — cancel those with Apple or Google separately, or billing continues after deletion.

During some requests' waiting period, signing back in or recreating the account cancels deletion. Once final deletion starts, cancellation is refused; try creating the account again later. Support can confirm completion or help with partial deletion.

If other Enterprise members remain, a sole admin must assign another admin, and an admin whose payment method funds the subscription must transfer billing before deleting. If you're the only admin and member, deletion disbands the organization and immediately cancels its Stripe subscriptions without refund.

Mac, Windows and iOS

  1. Open Settings → Account → Delete account (desktop) or Menu → Account → Delete account (iOS).

  2. Read the permanent-deletion warning.

  3. Type your exact account email on desktop; iOS requires none.

  4. Confirm Delete account. On iOS this stops recording and signs out all devices.

Android

Android has no in-app deletion button. Use desktop, or submit a support request — submitting it does not immediately delete the account.

  1. Open the dashboard drawer → Report an issue.

  2. Choose Account management.

  3. Submit a deletion request.

Still need help?

  • Forgot your email, or used Apple Hide My Email: check your welcome email or Apple's account settings, and use the original sign-in method — the same address through another method can be a different account. See Login Issues.

  • Two accounts: merging is not supported. Choose one, recreate dictionary entries manually, and ask support about duplicate subscriptions using the Billing request type.

  • Suspected unauthorized access: reset your Flow password or secure the connected provider account. For SSO, contact your IT team.

For sign-in failures, a plan that won't refresh, or deletion confirmation, open Help → Talk to support (desktop), Menu → Talk to Support (iOS), or the drawer → Report an issue (Android).

  1. Choose Report an issue on desktop or iOS.

  2. Select Issue, Billing, or Account & data management (desktop) / Account Management (iOS).

  3. Enter your platform, device, account email and what you tried.

  4. Send the message. If sending fails on desktop, your message is copied to the clipboard so you can try again.
