Apple subscription not showing as active, and finding which account it's on
Last updated: July 9, 2026
Available on: iOS
If you subscribed to Wispr Flow Pro through the App Store but the app still shows Basic, or you can't tell which account your subscription is on — your purchase is almost certainly active. It's just attached to a different Wispr Flow account than the one you're signed into. This guide walks you through fixing it in a couple of minutes.
Note: Your Apple ID (what you paid with) and your Wispr Flow account (what you sign in with) can be two separate things. Your subscription activates on whichever Wispr Flow account was signed in at the moment of purchase. If you later sign in with a different email or a different sign-in method, Flow won't show your subscription.
Quick checks
Try Restore Purchases first. In the Wispr Flow paywall or subscription screen, tap Restore Purchases. The message you see will tell you what's going on — success, no active subscription on this Apple ID, subscription linked to a different Wispr Flow account, or a sync issue. This is the fastest self-serve diagnosis.
Right Apple ID? Open iOS Settings, tap your name at the top, and confirm it's the Apple ID you paid with.
Is the subscription still active? Go to iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions and confirm Wispr Flow is listed as active.
Same sign-in method? If you originally signed up with Google (or Apple, Microsoft, SSO, or email/password), sign in the same way — signing in with the same email via a different method may not find the same account.
Is your internet working? Load a webpage to confirm. A subscription can't sync without a connection. If Restore Purchases still shows nothing after this, the subscription is on a different Wispr Flow account — continue below.
Tip: Once you sign into the correct account, your Pro status should appear within seconds. Flow refreshes subscription state whenever you sign in, foreground the app, or reconnect to the internet — you do not need to restart the app.
Not sure which email you bought it on?
If you can't remember which account holds your subscription, we can trace it from your Apple receipt. Grab the details below and include them when you contact us.
Find your Apple receipt and Order ID
Option A: reportaproblem.apple.com
Go to reportaproblem.apple.com in any browser.
Sign in with the Apple ID you paid with.
Find the Wispr Flow purchase in your history and open it to see the Order ID, date, and amount.
Option B: your Apple email receipt
Search your email for messages from Apple, or search "Wispr Flow" or "Your receipt from Apple."
Open the receipt from your purchase date. It lists the Order ID, the subscription name, the price, and the Apple ID it was billed to.
What to include when you contact us
The more of these you send, the faster we can pinpoint your subscription and the account it's on:
Order ID from your Apple receipt (the strongest identifier — a screenshot is ideal).
Any transaction IDs visible on the receipt, as a backup identifier.
The Apple ID email the purchase was billed to.
The subscription and date — for example, "Wispr Flow Pro (Monthly), purchased June 23," plus the exact amount and currency.
Every email you might have signed up with, so we can check which Wispr Flow account the subscription activated on.
A screenshot of the receipt, if you have one.
Note: Your Apple ID email is often not the same as your Wispr Flow account email — that mismatch is usually the whole reason the subscription looks missing. Sharing both helps us connect them.
Warning: Don't purchase a second subscription to work around this. Your first purchase is safe — it just needs to be pointed at the right account, and we can help with that.
FAQs
Can I move my Apple subscription to a different Wispr Flow account?
App Store subscriptions activate on the Wispr Flow account you were signed into at purchase time. The most reliable fix is to sign in with the account that owns the subscription. If you truly cannot access that account, contact us — reassignment isn't automatic, but we can help investigate.
I signed up with Sign in with Apple and used Hide My Email. What's my account email?
Your Wispr Flow account email may be a private relay address ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com. You can find it at iOS Settings → [your name] → Sign-In & Security → Hide My Email. Include it when you contact us.
Why doesn't signing in with my usual email show my subscription?
If you purchased while signed into a different account (a different email, or the same email via a different sign-in method), your current login won't show it. Signing into the account that owns the subscription resolves it.
