Flow plans and what's included

Choosing between Basic, Pro, and Enterprise? This guide compares what's included in each plan, who it's built for, and how to switch — so you can pick the right fit in under a minute.
What it is
Flow offers three plans — Basic (Free), Pro, and Enterprise — that determine how much you can dictate, which features you can access, and whether you can manage a team. Every plan uses the same voice-to-text engine, so transcription accuracy is identical across tiers. Higher tiers unlock unlimited usage, Command Mode, and team or enterprise controls.

How it works in Flow
Overview
The Plans & Billing page shows all three plans in a comparison table and highlights your current plan. Team usage is offered as Pro with multi-seat billing, not as a separate tier.
Plans at a glance
Basic (Free): Core voice-to-text dictation with a weekly word limit that resets every Sunday at 12am PT. Desktop allows 2,000 words per week (5,000 hard cap); iOS allows 1,000 words per week (1,500 hard cap). The sidebar shows how many words you have left. Best for trying Flow and light usage.
Pro: Unlimited dictation on all devices, Command Mode for editing, prioritized feature requests, early access to new features, and team collaboration. Built for people who dictate frequently.
Team (Pro with multi-seat billing): Everything in Pro, plus team management, centralized billing, and admin controls. Built for organizations with multiple users.
Enterprise: Everything in Pro, plus SSO, compliance settings, dedicated support, Team Leaderboards, and enterprise admin controls. Admins and Members on Enterprise plans receive full Pro access.
Key behaviors
Plan changes: Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
Current plan indicator: The comparison table on Plans & Billing labels your active plan with "Current plan."
Trial banner: While on a trial, a banner shows days remaining with options to add billing info or upgrade. It appears above the comparison table on Plans & Billing, and on the Team page above the members table for admins whose team doesn't yet have billing info.
Upgrade welcome modal: When a team admin upgrades your seat to Pro or Enterprise on desktop, a celebration modal appears with your plan badge and a button that launches a guided tour of Team Insights, Team Dictionary, and Team Snippets.
Team invite welcome notification: When you accept a team invite on desktop, a welcome notification highlights the Teams features available to you and shows who invited you (or "Your teammate" for auto-accepted invites) and your team name. New Flow users also get confirmation of a 2-week trial of Teams features. To avoid interrupting active dictation, the notification appears about 15 seconds after your next dictation completes.
New teammate notification: When someone from your email domain signs up for Flow, you'll receive an in-app notification prompting you to create a team with them. Creating a team this way unlocks team features and may include a 2-week Pro trial.
Enterprise IT Admin seats: IT Admin seats do not include desktop app access and are not counted toward paid seats. Signing in shows a blocking screen with two options — sign out, or open the Admin Portal to change your seat type. Admins can assign or change the IT Admin role from the role dropdown on the Team page or when inviting new members.
Team page: The Team page in Settings shows your team name alongside "Team" in the header (e.g., "Team | Acme"), with the refresh button, Admin Portal or Contact admins button, and Add new user button in the same row. The members table lists each person's name, email, status, and role. Trial status displays as a single line (e.g., "In trial, ends Jan 5"). Roles are shown as "IT Admin" and "Super Admin."
Warning: If you are already on a paid Pro plan and join a team, Flow shows a warning that you are currently paying for your own subscription. Review your billing before confirming so you are not charged twice.
Note: Subscription purchases differ by platform. iOS purchases are handled through the App Store and managed by Apple. Android shows your current plan label but does not support in-app subscription management — manage your subscription at app.wisprflow.ai.
Best practices
Start with Basic to confirm Flow fits your workflow before upgrading.
Upgrade to Pro if you regularly hit the weekly word limit or need Command Mode.
Choose Team (multi-seat Pro) if you need to manage licenses for multiple people in your organization.
Choose Enterprise if you need SSO, compliance controls, or Team Leaderboards.
FAQs
Can I try Pro before committing?
Yes. Flow offers a free trial of Pro so you can test all features before subscribing. A banner at the top of Plans & Billing shows how many days remain and lets you add billing info or upgrade at any time. You can also unlock a 2-week Pro trial by creating a team when prompted after a teammate from your email domain signs up for Flow.
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
Your data is preserved. Saved Dictionary and Snippets entries remain available, and Pro-only features reactivate if you upgrade again.
Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?
Yes. Go to Settings → Account → Manage Subscription to switch billing cycles. Annual billing offers a discount.
Do all plans work on every platform?
Yes. Plans are available on Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android, and your subscription syncs across devices. Purchases are managed through Apple on iOS and through the web on Android.
I'm an Enterprise IT Admin — why can't I use Wispr Flow?
IT Admin seats do not include desktop app access and are not counted toward your organization's paid seats. To dictate with Flow, change your seat type from IT Admin to Admin or Member in the Admin Portal. The app unlocks automatically once the change is made, and your seat will then count toward paid seats.
I received a team invite — how do I respond?
An "Accept invite" button appears in the sidebar when you have a pending team invite. Click it to join the team. Once accepted, a welcome notification appears on desktop highlighting the Teams features now available to you. If you're brand new to Flow, it will also confirm your 2-week trial of Teams features.
I got a notification that a teammate signed up — what should I do?
When someone from your email domain joins Flow, you'll see an in-app notification inviting you to create a team with them. Accepting creates a team and unlocks team features. Depending on your account, this may also start a 2-week Pro trial.
Limitations and notes
The Basic plan has a weekly word limit that resets every Sunday at 12am PT: 2,000 words per week on desktop (5,000 hard cap) and 1,000 words per week on iOS (1,500 hard cap). On iOS, a warning card appears at the top of the statistics carousel as you approach the limit; at the hard cap, Flow slows down until the next reset.
Team and Enterprise admin controls are managed through the web dashboard at app.wisprflow.ai.
Team Leaderboards are available on Enterprise plans only. An org admin can hide the leaderboard in enterprise settings.
The upgrade welcome modal, team invite welcome notification, and new teammate notification appear on desktop (Mac and Windows) only. They are not shown on iOS or Android.
Enterprise IT Admin seats do not include Wispr Flow dictation access and are not counted toward paid seats.
Android does not support in-app subscription management — manage your subscription on the web. iOS purchases are handled through the App Store by Apple.
